I recently moved into a new community, and as we draw closer to the general elections here, I decided to look up the names of my local representative(s) or the candidates vying for my vote. On a scale of 1-10, these candidates are at a 1 with their campaign efforts, no ads, no lawn signs, there is nothing! Believe me, it went from a simple Google search to a full-blown research initiative (no joke, we phoned county offices) because I didn’t glean anything substantial from my initial search. So the elections are coming and we know the candidates for president and for some of us we may also know the names of the persons up for the Senate and HoR. But do you know who is running for the offices of Sheriff, the Dept of Education, and so on? If your answer is no, and like me you would like to know who wants to be your representative, start looking into it online today.
I reflected on the process I mentioned above and thought to myself, is it as difficult to find out what is love, who is the truth, and who can be our Savior? I then decided that I needed to make it clear to everyone or maybe just that one person who does not know that Jesus is Lord. As a child of God, it is my duty to let others know that we have a representative in Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Yes, it is a campaign to let us all know about the representation of God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. These are effective officials, advocating always on our behalf. “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 KJV.
The Bible tells us, Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, and He is making intercession for us. It also tells us that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, is always with us and makes intercession for us which cannot be uttered.

Get to know Jesus today, and I can assure you that this representative will work for you. He even sent us an advocate – in the Holy Spirit who will teach us all things and reminds us of His words towards us. John 14:26 (NLT).
