A connection can be defined as something that is linked with another or associated with another; or that there is a relationship between two or more things.

Having the right connection is of utmost importance. It is intrinsically linked to effectively unfolding our purpose. Think about using the Internet, to access the world wide web, you need data or wifi. Data and wifi is the connecting source to accessing Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc. And we sure need good connection.

We know that life can be hard, or may I say hands down difficult at times, so we need strength and reassurance as we go through every day. Finding strength and true reassurance comes to us when we are connected with God and in some circumstances how connected, we are with family and friends.

Growing up I was told to cherish relationships, to create a network, build a connection as these ‘links’ could be useful in the future. Whether it be for a job opportunity, a social launchpad, or even ultimate partnership (who I would marry, or want to be my child’s godparents), these connections one day could surely become important. While the connection within our social sphere is good, we need what’s best and that is a divine spiritual connection with God. He reminds us that we need to be linked/connected to Him in order to be blessed. John 15:6 says it best “I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”

God wants us to connect with Him. In actuality, it is the most important link you will ever have. The closer you are to God the more you will experience His love, His peace, His promise, and His goodness in our lives. He offers the ability through Jesus Christ to connect with Him via prayer and accepting His love towards – in the form of His son Jesus. In Matthew 7:7, Jesus told us “ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

What are or whom are you connected to in this season?
