They say true love never dies and I believe! But seriously what do I know, I am a hopeless romantic (a hopeless romantic is an eternal optimist, always believing in the power of love and romance as one of the most important aspects of human existence). Recently, I reflected on a course of events that I had experienced during my life, and found that the statement above is true.

If we love someone , like truly love them, we will love them always, right? No matter what? Some persons may answer yes, while others are saying I am not sure. Yes, I know for us love can be complicated.
Oh, but the love of God isn’t. In fact, there is no complication here at all. The Bible tells of God’s love and even details the type of love He has for us. His agape love, truly unconditional love is demonstrated to us daily, and through His son Jesus.
When it comes to unconditional love, my mind goes to a story in the Bible, the story of the prodigal son ( this is such a familiar story). Luke 15:11-32 describes the story of two brothers and a forgiving, and loving father. It’s the same with God, no matter where we go, and no matter what we have done – He welcomes us back home with open arms, plus throw a party! Talk about true love- that never dies.
Today, I want to encourage us to :
• Come to know the unconditional love of God. Romans 8:38-39 NLT states that simply nothing will separate us from the love of God.
• Forgive those who walked out /away from us.
And for those who stuck around while someone was out or that person walked out, remember your space and your love cannot be taken away.
• Endure love. No doubt, love can be complicated, but love “bears all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:7 KJV
I pray today that you will appreciate the love you have in the Lord, your family, your friends, and your community. Love is truly amazing!
