In these times (unprecedented times) we are somewhat being forced to deal with change. Social distancing, working from home, online church services, wearing a mask outside, unemployment and separation from loved ones are some of the few changes we are having contend with. Throughout the great book – the Bible God called His people to face up to challenges and changes. Over and over again we see God through prophecies, revelations cause His people to embrace change. And He is doing the same thing today. Life is full of changes, but God, His love and promises for us never changes and will never change! Malachi 3:6 says, “I am the Lord, I change not.”
In this time of change, panic, fear, and what our society and media personalities refer to as uncertain times (as if anyone is ever truly certain about tomorrow) we must evolve, reinvent ourselves, and prepare ourselves for the shift! Your perspective will be a huge player in how we live and embrace these circumstances.
You see, I believe the Bible when it says that “all this work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.” Let me be clear, we need the spirit of God to guide us on this path of change and prepare us for the ‘shifting’. The most transformative growth and change we will experience is when we truly accept God’s promises for us. How are you preparing yourselves for the days ahead?
I know these are hard times for us and so I encourage us not to live by fear, nor under depression, anxiety or doubt, but instead live through the unfailing love of God through Jesus Christ. Be hopeful, be empowered and be positive! Be bold in your purpose and be bold in your ambitions. God promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us and we stand on that promise when things change in our lives.
